1. Booking and Confirmation

  • How to Book: Reservations can be made online at 1stcycling.co.uk, by phone +385 91 529 6343, or via email info@1stcycling.co.uk.

  • Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of a 30% deposit and issuance of a Confirmation Invoice.

  • Confirmation Invoice Includes: Dates, itinerary, included services, total cost, and payment deadlines.

  • Accuracy of Information: Clients are responsible for providing accurate personal and travel details. Errors may incur additional costs.

2. Payment

  • Deposit: 30% of the total price is due at booking.

  • Final Balance: Payable 90 days before departure. Failure to pay may result in cancellation (see §5).

  • Payment Methods: Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) or bank transfer.

  • Late Payments: Bookings may be canceled if balances are overdue by 14+ days.

3. Pricing

  • Included: Accommodation, meals (as stated), cycling support, equipment, and transfers.

  • Excluded: Flights, insurance, personal expenses, and visas.

  • Price Changes: We may adjust prices due to fuel costs, taxes, or exchange rates (per Package Travel Regulations 2018). Changes will be notified in writing.

  • Right to Cancel: Clients may cancel penalty-free if the increase exceeds 8% of the total price.

4. Changes by You

  • Requesting Changes: Notify us in writing. Changes are subject to availability and supplier fees.

  • Fees: £50 admin fee per change + any supplier costs (e.g., hotel upgrades).

5. Cancellation by You

5.1 Overview
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may require changes to your travel plans. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair and transparent, ensuring that both you and 1st Cycling Ltd are protected.

5.2 Cancellation Fees & Credits
Cancellation charges depend on how far in advance you notify us:

5.3 Important Notes

  • Cancellation Fee: A non-refundable €150 fee applies to all cancellations made more than 90 days before departure.

  • Credit Validity: Credits must be used within one calendar year of the original departure date. No refunds will be issued once a future trip credit has been applied.

  • Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations or interruptions.

5.4 Policy Exceptions
1st Cycling Ltd reserves the right to modify or cancel any tour if circumstances arise that compromise the safety of travelers or staff. In such cases, a refund of payments received by 1st Cycling Ltd will constitute full and final settlement. We are not responsible for any loss or expenses incurred due to non-refundable external travel costs (e.g., flights).

5.5 How to Cancel
Notify us in writing via email to info@1stcycling.co.uk. Cancellations are effective only upon our acknowledgment.

6. Changes/Cancellation by Us

  • Minor Changes: We may adjust itineraries (e.g., route alterations). No compensation.

  • Significant Changes: Includes date changes >48 hours, destination swaps, or accommodation downgrades. Clients may:

    • Accept the change.

    • Choose an alternative tour.

    • Cancel for a full refund.

  • Cancellation by Us: Due to force majeure (see §8) or low participation (if stated at booking). Refunds provided; no compensation for force majeure.

7. Our Liability

  • Compliance: We adhere to the Package Travel Regulations 2018 for service delivery.

  • Supplier Liability: We are liable for failures by our suppliers unless due to unforeseeable third-party actions.

  • Limitations: Liability is capped per international conventions (e.g., Montreal Convention for baggage).

  • Exclusions: Not liable for services not part of the package (e.g., optional activities) or client negligence.

8. Force Majeure

  • Definition: Unforeseen, extraordinary events (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, war).

  • Impact: If force majeure prevents your holiday, we will offer an alternative or refund. No compensation applies.

9. Your Responsibilities

  • Travel Documents: Ensure valid passports/visas for Croatia. Check entry requirements.

  • Insurance: Mandatory coverage for cancellation, medical emergencies, and repatriation.

  • Conduct: Respect local laws and customs. We may terminate your tour for disruptive behavior without refund.

  • Health: Disclose medical conditions or special needs at booking.

10. Complaints

  • During the Tour: Notify our team immediately to resolve issues on-site.

  • Post-Tour: Submit written complaints within 28 days of return. Email info@1stcycling.co.uk with booking reference.

11. Travel Insurance

  • Required Coverage: Cancellation, medical expenses (£2m+), repatriation, and loss/damage to belongings.

  • Privacy Policy: Personal data is processed per our Privacy Policy, compliant with GDPR.

14. Governing Law

  • Jurisdiction: Disputes governed by English law, settled in courts of England/Wales.
